Demonstration evenings
Our demonstration evenings take place on the first Thursday of the month from September through to July and are held at Marlow Bottom Village Hall. The meetings start at 7.30pm and end at 9.30pm with a break for refreshments. Non members may also attend our demonstration evenings for a small fee (£3.00).
We have a guest demonstrator or speaker and the talks cover a wide range of subjects and techniques. Once a year we hold an appraisal evening where an artist is invited to give views on works submitted by the members. We have a projector and audio system so that no matter where you sit in the hall you can get a good view - and importantly hear what our demonstrator is saying.
It’s also a chance to meet fellow members and be updated on news and future events - or just catch up on what we are all currently working on. There is an opportunity to sell or buy books and materials donated by members at the “Bring and Buy” table and we also have a number of artists DVDs to borrow. At our December meeting we enjoy mince pies and mulled punch in the break and hold a competition for the best designed / hand made Christmas card by a member.
